Good Charlotte to Be on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Joel Madden and Good Charlotte will be the musical guest on the October 8 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The band and Jimmy are pretty good friends. Joel and Benji appeared in Jimmy’s “I’m F***ing Ben Affleck” video that was a response to Sarah Silverman’s smash “I’m F****ing Matt Damon.”

I’m excited to see the band play! The guests that night include Ricky Gervais, who who be promoting his new flick Ghost Town and Carla Gugino from Entourage.

Joel Madden in Atlantic City

Joel Madden has been working clubs up and down the east coast the past few weeks. On September 26, he spun at club mur. mur at the Borgata Casino Spa in Atlantic City, only a day after playing with his brother in Boston.

Benji & Joel Madden Rock the Roxy

Joel Madden and his brother Benji are keeping busy hitting the DJ circuit. The two of them played at the Trojan Evolve Party at The Roxy in Boston on September 25.

Nicole Richie’s New Jewelry Line

Nicole Richie has been hard at work on a line of custome jewelry, according to the National Jeweler Network. The 30-piece collection will be called House of Harlow, after Nicole’s daughter. It will feature fabrics, feather and gold-plated materials and should be in stores as early as this fall.

The line will retail between $50-$150 dollars. Nicole is collaborating with jeweler Mouwad on the creative line.

“It’s different in that it targets Nicole’s fans, a younger audience,” Mouwad owner Pascal Mouawad says. “[Nicole is] really a fashion icon herself. Whatever she wears, people like to wear. Her wearing it and promoting it will attract her fan base.”

I’m really excited to see what Nicole and company has in store for this jewelry line. It sounds really interesting and I bet a lot of Nicole’s personal style will come through.

Recent Nicole Richie Candids

Nicole Richie has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles quite a bit recently.

September 29
On September 29, she was seen running errands in Los Angeles. She looked cute in a scarf-like top and cut-off shorts. However, she wasn’t impressed to see the cameras, and hid her face as best she could from the paparazzi. I don’t blame her though–the poor girl looks exhausted! I wonder if she had a hard night with Harlow.

September 30
On September 30, Nicole squeezed in some girl time as she spent the afternoon with long-time friend Masha. The pair got some Starbucks and did a little shopping. Nicole was rocking those cut-off shorts again, but paired it with a grey tank this time. Again, she hid her face from the cameras.

October 1
October 1 was a family day. Nicole and Joel Madden took Harlow out shopping at a mall in Los Angeles. They had a stroller with them, but mostly took turns carrying Harlow, who was excited to take in all the sights! Again, Nicole looks exhausted. Poor girl.

Nicole Richie Gets License Back

According to Contact Music, Nicole Richie was officially given her license to drive back on September 19th.

After being convicted for her DUI, Nicole’s license was suspended for a year. This suspension was lifted and Nicole now holds a restricted license, meaning she can drive for work-related purposes. Nicole must be allowed to rive herself to her alcohol-education class and other DUI-related activities because she was seen driving herself to class last week!

Low-Key Birthday for Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie’s pal Paris Hilton attended a private screening of her film Repo over the weekend with boyfriend Benji Madden. While walking the red carpet, Paris chatted with reporters about her new show My New BFF, her real BFF, Nicole, and Nicole’s birthday celebrations this past weekend.

While Paris has her new reality show that searches for her new best friend, Paris was adamant that no one could replace Nicole.

“Nicole is more than a best friend,” Paris told Extra. “She’s like a sister since we’ve been best friends since we were two… She hasn’t seen the show, but she’s looking forward to it.”

As for Nicole’s birthday celebrations, the friends kept it a low-key family affair.

“Benji, Nicole, Joel, and Harlow…We all went to dinner and had a nice family dinner,” Paris said. “It was really sweet.”

Video: Nicole Richie & Joel Madden on Extra

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden went on Extra to talk about their newest charity initiative “Text CHILD to 90999“. In the wake of having Harlow, Nicole and Joel decided they needed to give back to the community and make sure that all children’s lives, not just their daughter’s, would be better.

The interview is really short and only covers the basics of the campaign, but it’s obvious how passionate Nicole and Joel are about the project.

I love that Nicole can joke about the constant second pregnancy rumors!

Nicole Richie Drove Herself to Traffic School

For the first time since Nicole Richie began her alcohol education program, she drove herself to school yesterday. I can’t help but wonder if this has anything to do with the regaining of driving privileges. It’s possible Nicole just wanted to get behind the wheel for a change, but who knows?

It seems like Nicole is doing well in this program! I hope she completes it soon and can move on from her DUI. It’s clear that she’s learned her lesson and is turning her life around with her growing family and charity work.

Nicole Richie Visits Beyond Shelter

Nicole Richie visited Beyond Shelter with a friend last week. The pal brought along a video camera and recorded the whole thing. There are over 175 children and families staying at Beyond Shelter while they look for a more permanent home. This shelter is where Nicole and Joel Madden are hoping to build a playground with funds from their “Text CHILD to 909999” campaign.

In the video below, Nicole meets several people staying at Beyond Shelter.

“It’s just you and me making this happen. There is so much we can do together to help. A playground is just the beginning. We can change the world — you and I,” Nicole writes on the Richie-Madden MySpace. “I’m asking from my heart, and I cannot do it without your help. Please, you guys. Thank you for watching, texting and passing it on.”
